Jagjit Singh's short Bio: A world renowned, Indian ghazal singer Jagjit Singh is highly revered, he sings in Punjabi, Urdu and Hindi. He learnt the Khayal, Thumri and Dhrupad forms of Indian Classical music under Ustad Jamaal Khan. In 1965 he arrived in Mumbai but realized that the ghazal scenario was dominated by Noor Jehan, Malika Pukhraj and others, but still he managed to make a mark for himself because of his fresh style and departure from prevalent mode of ghazal rendition.
